Montagehinweis – einfacher Austausch

Für den Austausch des Schwenkelements groß Beetle Cabrio muss die Verdeckklappe demontiert werden.
Bringe dazu das Verdeck in die Stellung „fast vollständig geöffnet“, sodass die Klappen geöffnet bleiben.

1. Unteres Kugelgelenk der Verbindungsstange vom Stellmotor lösen
2. Mit einem langen Kugel-Inbusschlüssel die beiden Schrauben des Halters lösen.
3. Verdeckklappe vorsichtig durch leichtes Hin- und Herbewegen entnehmen.
4. Beschädigtes kleines Schwenkelement behutsam mit Kunststoffhebel oder Schraubendreher entfernen.
5. Beschädigtes großesSchwenkelement behutsam mit Kunststoffhebel oder Schraubendreher entfernen und Bowdenzüge vorsichtig am Schwenkelement aushängen.
6. Neues großes Schwenkelement zuerst an den unteren gebogenen Krallen am Halter einrasten
7. Die kleinen Bowdenzüge am Schwenkelement einhängen und dann die oberen Krallen einrasten.
8. Vom kleinen Schwenkelement zuerst die untere Kralle am Halter einrasten, dann die obere Kralle am Schiebeelement einrasten.

Warum zerbrechen die Teile?

3.  Die Kugelköpfe der Verbindungsstange brechen durch Materialermüdung. Die Klappe öffnet dann nicht und wird beim Öffnen oder Schließen des Verdecks durch die Gewalt des Verdeckgestänges zerstört. Die Elektronik bekommt in diesem Fall keine Fehlermeldung, weil der Stellmotor „geöffnet“ angibt.

Warum gibt es das Teil nicht bei Volkswagen?
VW lieferte dieses Element nur als komplette Verdeckklappe. Aufgrund des Fahrzeugalters werden einige Ersatzteile vom Fahrzeughersteller nicht mehr angeboten.  Dieser Reparatursatz ist die ideale Lösung aus deutscher 3D-Fertigung.

Installation Instructions – Easy Replacement

To replace the pivot element, the convertible top flap must be removed. Move the convertible top to the „almost fully open“ position so the flaps remain open.

1. Detach the lower ball joint of the connecting rod from the actuator
2. Using a long ball-head hex key, loosen the two screws on the bracket
3. Carefully remove the convertible top flap with gentle back-and-forth movement
4. Carefully remove the damaged small pivot element using a plastic lever or screwdriver
5. Carefully remove the damaged large pivot element using a plastic lever or screwdriver, and gently unhook the Bowden cables from the pivot element
6. Snap the new large pivot element into the lower curved clips on the bracket first
7. Hook the small Bowden cables onto the pivot element, then snap the upper clips into place
8. For the small pivot element: snap the lower clip onto the bracket first, then snap the upper clip onto the sliding element
